4 Things You Need To Build A Successful Downline

Most people fail to build a successful downline Team

because they do not have the 4 major business building strategies for successful team building.  Once you understand exactly what you have to do and what works, then your team will begin to grow.

You often hear the jargon from multi-level marketing companies that all you have to do is share your product and follow the system.  The problem is sharing the product is not as easy as it sounds.  Have you found that you get tongue-tied when you try to share your products with a friend?

Why do you feel uncomfortable?

Because you are not really sharing the product – you are selling the product.  And selling makes you uncomfortable.    You may have been told to share the information about the product like you would a good book or movie, but this does not work.  You know in the back of your mind that your goal is to sell the product.

Sharing the product is not the best marketing plan.  In fact it is not even a good marketing plan.  You need a different mindset when it comes to building a profitable business.

Another strategy from multi-level marketing companies is to just follow the system.  Have you found there really is no system beyond sharing with friends and family and then moving on to acquaintances and cold calling?

What are the 4 things you really need to be successful?

1.  You need a system that is a true business marketing system.  A system that:

  • is based on getting results
  • can be tracked so you know what works and what does not work
  • can be personalized to help you build credibility

2.  You need to have something of value to give to your new people.  Something that they can truly use and will be of benefit to them.

Not just another free ebook on social media networking that repeats the same old stuff over and over again – yada yada yada!

3.  You absolutely must have a plan for getting new leads.  Without people you have no business. So once you have your system set up and you have a source of valuable information you need to be taught how to get new leads without bothering friends and family.

They are not interested!

You want people who want what you want – a business that provides you with a good income.

4.  You must have coaching/mentoring.  You need a sponsor who is easy to contact, willing to help, and gives 110% support to the team.  You do not want just a series of video tutorials without a real person to go to answer your questions.

If you sign-up under a sponsor that teaches you how to be successful, then you have the skills to teach your sign-ups how to be successful.

When you are surfing the net for a business opportunity remember to find out about these 4 major pieces of the successful business.

Ask about the system – what is the system? How  does it work?  Find out how you can give value to others who are looking for a way to create a business from home. Definitely find out about how to get traffic and find new leads.  And finally make sure that your sponsor will be there to mentor you.

To Your Success,

Thank you for visiting and reading my posts. I invite you to leave a comment. A few years ago I started looking to the Internet as a way to build a business. Before that I was the typical non-techie person. I seldom checked my emails, in fact I was happy that email did not buzz or beep at me! In other words, email did not demand my attention like so many things in the offline world. So I happily ignored email and the Internet. Why did I look for ways to build an online business? For many of the same reasons that you have arrived here. If you are like me, you want change for your family. Change that will come from earning money to retire your spouse from their JOB, help your children and grandchildren, create a legacy, and to teach others how they can to the same thing in their lives! Wow awesome post and thanks for the mention on FB

So just want to add to this and maybe go into a bit on the email marketing side.

Having the right type of funnel is great and all especially if you take the time to test the elements but I urge you not to forget about the inside mechanics.

    Your follow-ups and broadcasts.

I think some people get email marketing confused a bit by throwing tons of offers to their list or thinking that it’s all about just sharing content.

Good content is just one piece of it but not all content is worth a read, which is why you need to match up your list.

I think delivering value to your chosen audience through the use of a series of highly targeted, story based emails. Your aim is to resolve the deep emotional pain your audience is feeling, by offering a solution to their problem.

In the process of doing that, you build a long term relationship with that audience.

    Your crowd.

Soap Opera type emails have always worked best. I mean just providing content isn’t going to get the readers attention. You can find content anywhere on the net.

People like reading stories, books etc etc so your emails should be just that.

A series of soap opera based story lines

You need to presume the attitude that you look at everybody who you want to do business with, and decide you’re not going to wait for money to change hands before you start contributing, guiding, counseling, advising and protecting them.

This is where it all starts and ends.

I suggest this becomes the all-encompassing “mindset” that should guide all your email marketing efforts.

It’s more of a philosophy I guess than the mindset but either way you look at it you will be much better off thinking this way.

You need to become the fiduciary to your tribe, even (and especially) before money has changed hands.

Being a fiduciary is really not that hard.

People are inherently good, and if you treat them with respect and empathy, you will always win in the long run (especially if you are in business for the long run).

Stepping over a bit of commission ($98) to earn a customer for life is a brain-dead easy decision for anyone or at least should be.

Anyway thanks for the post. Very good.

    Make it a good day
    Craig

You have made great points and added to the information in my post – thanks Craig. I do agree with you that people are inherently good – treat people well and you have a win/win situation. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment.

Wish I had your advice when I was first starting out with my online business. So many marketing companies don’t have the four points that you mentioned and as a result, many entrepreneurs fail and give up. Here’s hoping that many will have the opportunity to read your informative post Corinne.
