Since I started my online career in 2007 I tried several ways to build my prospect lists but failed miserably. This is probably the most important ingredient of your online marketing and without traffic to your capture pages, you will really have a hard time building your prospect list. Not all traffic is relevant to what you might have to offer your readers and you should have a way of selecting and guiding the correct people to your capture pages.
The best method to do this is by writing articles that would interest your target market. You can either upload your articles to several websites that specialize in article publishing or you can post them to your own blog. With the latter you will also be able to build a group of regular readers that will grow over time. These people will grow to like you if your articles give them relevant information and they will certainly want to become part of your lists. They get to see you as the expert in your chosen field.
The way they get to see your blog is when they search for information through the search engines. The more visitors you receive in this way, the more popular your blog will become in the search engines and you will receive even more visitors each time you post an article to your blog.
