Aloha Readers!
Happy Belated Thanksgiving. I hope you truly had a good holiday with lots of good food to eat. There are some quotes that I want to share. The first one is found in
Psalms 118:24. It says, “This is the day which the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. I would also add the word thankful. The Lord has truly blessed me and my husband Derrick. Wednesday, at The Salt Lake Regional Medical Center where Derrick works, gave him a turkey. I am really thankful for the nurse who gave us the turkey. We were able to same save money because of her. Also, on the way home, Derrick stopped by Wal-Mart to pick up some things that we needed. The register where
Derrick was standing was closing and the credit card machine was not working. The couple in front of Derrick bought his items also because they had cash. I am so thankful for the generosity of this couple. I hope that the Lord was blesses them because of their thoughtfulness. I hope to someday to be in the same position as this couple and pay the kindness forward.
The second thought that I really like comes from my sponsor from my safelist biz. This business allows me to keep track of my emails that I need to click for credits. It makes things easier for me which I am thankful for. This quote involves serving others and how it changes us and the person whom we are helping. The quote says,
“Simply give others a bit of yourself;
a thoughtful act,
a helpful idea,
a word of appreciation,
a lift over a rough spot,
a sense of understanding,
a timely suggestion…”

The last quote comes from the EXP Body, ” It is especially meaningful during this special time to count blessings instead of calories. To give thanks for the many people on this earth who have touched your lives and lifted your spirits. It reminds me of the song from White Christmas sung by Bing Cosby. I don’t know the title of it but it encourages us if we are worried and can’t sleep, that we should count blessings instead of sheep and then we will fall asleep counting our blessings. I love these quotes because it helps us to perspective on the things that matter in life. We will have challenges. Instead of seeing challenges as things of stopping us from accomplishing our goals, we should see them as stepping stones to accomplish our goals. It is also helps us to remember the people who have been their supporting and encouraging us to reach our goals.
My husband and I decided to start a new family tradition. We got some candy corn and then we each took turns, saying 10 things that we were grateful for before we ate the candy corn. We both really liked this tradition so that we want to keep on doing it and then include our kids when we can have them.
I hope that you had a Happy Thanksgiving
Until the next time.
