We have a cat called Speedy.
Speedy came to us due to a neighbor moved to another part of the country and he wasn’t even tame at the time (the cat, -not the neighbor). Every time we sat food out to him he stayed at a security distance of 10 meters ( ≈32 feet) and ran away when we got closer, – well ……. he speeded up 🙂
He was just a big kitten. That might have helped to his curiosity.
One day in the spring, – after staying out in the cold snowy winter, – he popped by when no one noticed him and ask for a contract….
…. well a “cat contract” is not a piece of paper, – it’s kind of a verbal and behavioral contract……
… he mustered all his courage, sneaked in behind and suddenly gave my hand a kick while I was gardening. He rushed back, but stayed around. We found some goodies that smelled good and he came closer. Eventually he learned that eating was combined with scratching the neck and back.
… a new habit was introduced and “written” into the contract…
Now he discovered that houses was hollow and warm. – you can get into them – as long as a door is open, – OK, but that was not a part of the contract – autumn came and he accepted closed doors. After all we have been training at the cat door all summer but to no avail, ….until it began raining with cold water from above.
What is your contract with yourself, your spouse, your children, your co-workers in the corporate work or your team mates as entrepreneur in Empower Network or any other MLM?
What I have described here – the Cat Contract – is real (in our house at least) but also very basic way at looking at our own habits. The scratching on the back while eating isn’t a part of Mother nature, …. it’s a human habit!
…… Why are we doing them then?
Well someone in your past made a “Cat Contract” on you. They may even be dead for 30 years ago, but that contract still works.
Take charge of your life and make something different TODAY.
