A few years back it seems like an impossible and strange thing to do, adding audio to your website. Today any site that doesn’t have some form of Audio is seriously missing out on Traffic and potential sales. If you are engaged in Internet/online marketing you will know that website traffic plays a big role in boosting product and service sales.
I host a regular radio show on Blog talk radio were I interview business owners, Blog talk radio host all my shows on its server. After I have interviewed my guest I download my show and upload to my website , then I promote my website page for that show , driving traffic to my site and not Blog talk Radio.
The files are in MP3 format when the link is clicked, the media player plays a file. The mp3 files, can also be downloaded. Today there are plugins you can add to your site that make this easy especially if you are using wordpress.
What I noticed since doing that:
- My website traffic increased by 80%
- My visitors stay longer on my site
- I began having more sales made through my website.
The good thing about internet radio or audio on your site is that people can always go back and listen again.
So, how can you add audio to your site? There are several ways to stream audio from your site.
- Record your personal messages, if you want to display your own recording.
- Interview experts and upload it to your site
- Find audio from other people that you like and ask their permission to display it on your site.
- Create a show on Blog talk Radio , then embed on your site
What will this mean to you? This means that your site will have new audio content every time it is visited.
What can you use to create your recording?
- I have used my mobile phone in the past
- Today I record using my laptop – Check your laptop accessories, it might have a microphone
- There are voice recorders you can get from Amazon. This I use when I am on the move.
I hope this has helped and you will try it out.
If you like this blog please like and share.
Thank you
Ps: In this blog platform you cannot upload files larger than 7MB , I have reduced mine considerably I hope that quality remains the same.
