Love Conquers all.
Almost everyone, with the exception of new-born babies and little children, can admit that at some point in life and time, they have been offended by someone…or have offended someone.
But, God has taught us to not take revenge on our offenders, but rather to forgive and love them.
Now, as difficult as this may seem, in God’s eyes, it is the divine way to be. This is the level that we all aim to achieve.
There are the 3 types of love that exist in life:
1. Brotherly love (the kind of love of love we have for our brothers and sisters and our neighbors)
2. Physical love (the kind of love you have for your spouse)
3. Agape love…the greatest of all love! This is the love that God has for all of us. It is UNCONDITIONAL! It knows no bounds. It saves the world.
God asks us to aim for this, for it is what will save the world as we know. It is the kind of love that we have for everyone…our friends, neighbors, strangers, family, and yes, even our enemies!
God forgives us our sins and He also asks of us to forgive those who trespass against us.
He asks us to not take revenge against those who wrong us.
In the Book of Romans 12:19 He says: “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, VENGEANCE IS MINE; I will repay.”
Also in the Book of Isiah 63:4 He says: “For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my vengeance is come.”
Again in the Book of Ezekiel 25:14 He says: “And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury, and they shall know my vengeance.”
So, when we truly forgive, love, we open ourselves to God’s tremendous blessings and happiness. We free ourselves of all heartache and pain. We live!
