Our Wisconsin Dells Vacation without The Kids

This past week, my husband and I left our kids with their Grandparents and went on a vacation alone.  One of our kids is our 115 pound lab and just like human siblings, our daughter and our dog, Cody, can get pretty wild. It was definitely above and beyond for my Mom and step Dad to watch them for eight days .

If you haven’t been anywhere alone with you spouse in a while, I highly suggest it. We had such a great time reconnecting . Of course, we talked about the kids, but we spent more time just being together and enjoying the time.

Being lucky enough to find a way to work from home gives me a ton of flexibility in my schedule so in a way, I am on “vacation” all the time, however, working with your home as your office most of the time, it is still wonderful to get away.

Going on a vacation is a great way to reduce stress but what really reduces stress is taking charge of your financial situation to create the income that removes financial stress. It sucks to be on vacation and have to worry about every cent you spend, doesn’t it? Then you come home and worry about paying the credit card charges that will be arriving in the mail soon. Ugh. That’s no way to live.
