I felt it was important that Part 3 is to be about
how one manifests their goals and several personal inspiring examples as well!
Great examples on my goals jumping into my lap.
The power of focus was accidentally discovered by me by simply writing my goals and sticking it up on the fridge and then being shocked at the results flooding in!
Some examples of my own GOALS FROM A YEAR AGO
are by written goal setting:
TRAMPOLINE FOR THE KIDS FOR A CHRISTMAS PRESENT
This was my biggest goal and I knew it was a tough one as we all have months when we need to budget. After all we can’t by everything! But it was something the kids really wanted, so I left it on the list of 10 other things.
I read it everyday as I saw it everyday as I opened the fridge up to get the milk. Within 4 months, my brother approached me and said he wanted to buy the kids a trampoline. And that my fellow readers, is how 1 goal resulted in a TICK – GOAL ACHIEVED!
NO DIG GARDEN OCCUPIED WITH LETTUCE
I would visit the fridge daily as usual and would see those words “My own no dig garden occupied with lettuce”. Within 4 months a TICK – GOAL ACHIEVED!
An example of my BEST GOALS EVER
are by thought and visualization:
TIME TO GET A MORTGAGE & TIME TO SETTLE DOWN
One of my best friends and I took a trip overseas and had some deep and meaningful moments.
We made the decision on changing our lives once we get back home, Shew made the decision to travel the world (a passion of hers) and I was ready to get a place of my own and sometime after that find my friend, my pal, my chum (my version of a husband). During that overseas trip something truly clicked and it was like there was no doubt – this is what we are going for and we will get it!
Within a year I moved into my unit. As my family helped me move up to the top floor, I laughed and said wouldn’t it be funny if I was to meet someone within the next few months and be engaged within 6 months and then we need to move all this stuff out! Within 9 months I was engaged. They weren’t laughing, but suggested not to have any more crystal ball moments like that! They could not believe what I said came true – almost to the month! GOAL ACHIEVED!
My lovely best friend was having a great time in different countries around the world-her goal was accomplished as well!
The truth is we didn’t know how or when, but we knew it was a definite to be and we went for it!
MOVING INTERSTATE
My hubby and I fell in love with another state when being on our honeymoon. We both agreed we are coming some day and just left it at that. We always talked about it and imagined the type of life we would have. We never really discussed it with anyone as we knew it would not sit well with everyone, as this meant a huge change and would mean leaving our loved ones to join other loved ones.
As time went by, my hubby talked about his yearn to change careers and the career in mind was an option in the new home we always dreamed of, so the applications began. We ended up going for a holiday to that same place and made the decision to do it soon as possible. By the time the job was his and we had driven to our new destination – it was 5 years after we 1st had made the decision to start in a place with less hustle and bustle. GOAL ACHIEVED!
The truth is we had no idea how or when. But we had the strong desire and just made small little steps closer and closer to the goal. We didn’t know how to get there, but we took all the little magical events as a sign that helped us to our destination.
NEW HOME WITH WATERFALL NEARBY
I always thought it would be nice to be on acreage and have a waterfall nearby. My hubby and I always loved nature and it seemed our dreams were very far away, but in our minds it was very strong.
We know live on acreage and when it rains, we have 3 lovely waterfalls that we can see from our front door! As a bonus our backyard gets a full rainbow from one side to the other.
Oh yeah – GOAL ACHIEVED!
From this day I started to believe
“Life can be truly magical if you allow it to be!”
But how?
WRITE GOALS:
All I did was read 4-7 times a day every time I went to the fridge to:
- Get milk
- Prepare breakfast
- Prepare lunch
- Prepare dinner
- Top up the water
- Reach for some fruit
- Get out some vegetables
- Prepare kids lunches
You can also have a goal book or excel spread sheet and just write as much as you want. Ipersonally have heard the power of writing with your own hand is quite powerful, especially leaving a TICK when you have accomplished your GOAL. But I have had success with listing my goals in a spread sheet and I have a column that I type in ACHEIVED DAY/MONTH/YEAR. Whatever works for the individual!
VISUALIZE
- Most of my goals I had were very strong in my mind
- I pictured them in detail (was very specific it what I wanted)
- Visualization was daily – I day dreamed often, instead of watching T.V
- Using NLP techniques with a professional strengthened my mind
VISION BOARD
I created a Powerpoint vision board where all photos and images of my goals were inserted. I watched them daily on the presentation and always had a great vibration evolve from these daily tasks. At first it was just an experiment, but then I realized the incredible power these techniques have. I started to think of creating my own vision board in front of my computer ON THE WALL – this is my next mission!
OUR MIND
The human brain is incredible and the more we learn about how to reshape our habits and learn the secrets of the universe, our lives will change – if we allow it to! I have been inspired by many mentors through audios and their biographies, but that’s a blog for another day…
With courtesy of www.betterwomensnetwork.com , members are able to be directed by tasks daily to empower them in business and mind. Thank you to Joanna Rogers for the exciting tasks on Goal Setting that has reminded me the importance of a refresh and get down to business…my dreams…my desires. Here they come!
I hope you all enjoyed the “Importance of Goal Setting”
May it be of great use to you this year and every other!
Start YOUR day with AWESOME!
Best wishes,
