The following three elements are important to have in mind when you’re introducing other people to your business. Actually it doesn’t matter if it’s an online or offline business. These things are “key” elements in your marketing and promotion efforts.
A – Attitude.
It’s really important that you show the prospect/customer a good attitude. This includes what you say, how you say it, body language etc. Talk slowly and remember to listen (very important). Send positive signals in everything you say and the way you look at the other person. Positive energy must shine from you. Imagine for a second that you were the one who was introduced to something new. Scepticism is a natural part of people’s defense mechanism and it’s therefore of utmost importance that you really show a positive and good attitude.
B – Business Knowledge.
Remember the topic in this post – Knowledge is power! The prospect must feel that you’re the expert in this area, and they will automatically listen to you and pay attention to what you present for them. Remember though to focus on the benefits for the prospect as they join your business. Do not focus on the features of the business program as much as on the benefits. Remember that people’s minds are set to “What’s in it for me?”.
C – Customer Oriented Service.
This is again a very important thing to remember. Under this goes once again, focus on the benefits for the prospect. Answer their questions on the spot (if you’re able to), otherwise get a hold of someone who can, and get back to the prospect A.S.A.P. with a correct answer to their question. Remember to listen, and to make the prospect feel safe and that they’re really valuable to you, both as a friend and a business partner.
Keep It Simple
Keep things simple. When you tell other people about your business, make sure that you make it as easy as possible for them to understand. Let them know about the cost for the business and the benefits for them. Again – focus on the benefits rather than the features. The features of a businessprogram are of course important, but the benefits are more important, at least when people are about to be told about the business. So let them know the cost and the benefits, and just a short brief information about the features.
If you have some kind of special report or other easy-and-quick-to-read information, be sure to give that to them as well. It might be an online document that people can read online or download, or it might be a printed document that you physically can give them. Both options are good and which one to use depends on the given situation, and of course also on the fact that some people prefer a hardcopy while others prefer online documents.
