Facebook and all those Spam Postings

If you use Facebook you have probably seen your share of Spam postings.    Not sure what I mean?    Let me try to give you an example.

Your best friend has posted a picture of Bill Gates – you know that computer guy.Bill Gates

 Whenever you see something like this, I would like to suggest that you get used to checking it out at a site such as Snopes.Com before sharing and spreading the rumours around.

Facebook is being used by so many people for so many reasons that it is hard to weed out all the false items.  I personally don’t see the reason for posting this type of  items, but I guess there  must be people out there with nothing better to do.

  • Great post Pat and very important – I have a lot of friends who post stuff that they think is legit and it’s really not. Safest bet is just don’t share anything you KNOW has not come from a reliable source – and use the sites you have listed here! I love it. Thanks for sharing!
