So many of us sign up for all of these “good ideas” to make money and it doesn’t take many times of being told:
-
no
-
no thanks
-
no way
-
nope not interested
before you lose hope and decide that this really was a bad idea and you are never going to get anywhere. Nobody likes what I’m doing! I may as well stop.
As a child we were always being told no! No don’t touch, no you can’t have that, no …… so it is ingrained in us to accept NO.
It’s time to change that. NO is really a good thing. At least if you are getting a no then it means that people are interacting with you somehow. Better than watching television.
I read a book recently that explains the importance of “Going for No!” written by Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz. One thing I learned is that you can’t get any no’s if you don’t ask the question. This book had much more to offer and it is a quick read.
Today I accepted a Blogging Challenge for the next 30 days. Yikes! What was I thinking.
So what does this mean for me? Well, first off, I have to get out of my comfort zone. Secondly, I will be proving to myself that I can do this, and as part of this challenge I have to put my blogs out into areas where people are going to seeing them. Today’s bog will not be asking for any no or even yes responses. Look out tomorrow.
I’m getting ready for a whole bunch of no’s. My thought… if I get enough no’s then hopefully I will get a yes to offset some of those pesky little no’s.
Thanks for letting me ramble on. I hope if nothing else you got a small chuckle out of this. It’s ok! You can say no.
