What Is an Entrepreneur…and How Can You Turn Measured Risk into Making Money Online?
I’ll try to answer that with a short story and a few examples…so hang around for a minute.
What Is an Entrepreneur
I suppose the first thing you need to know about entrepreneurs is that they take risks.
I’m not talking, “Throw $500 on Slippery Slope to win in the 5th” kind of risk. That’s called gambling.
Entrepreneurial risk is a different breed of horse, and is based on informed decisions about an opportunity.
So, how do you get informed?
Basically, you drop by places like this blog to read articles and reviews of opportunities and products. You watch a few videos. You look at how you get paid, how you market the products or opportunity…and then you make a choice…Join or walk away!
If an opportunity looks real, legal, and ethical…and the product line offers true value to its users…an entrepreneur is a person who takes action.
And this is where the magic happens…

The Magic of Making Money Online
There’s a second part to being an entrepreneur today…and that is, figuring out how to build your business systems in such a way that allows you to “walk away” and do something else while the Internet and technology works its magic.
I learned this lesson from a short little book (and an excellent read about being an entrepreneur) called, “The Parable of the Pipeline,” by Burke Hedges.
Basically, it goes like this—and this can be life changing, so read carefully…
Two peasants are offered contracts by their village elders to haul water from a nearby river to fill the village fountain.
They work their butts off hauling buckets of water from the river to the village square…until one day, one of the peasants had a brilliant idea…
“I’ll build a pipeline to carry the water for me.”
Forget about carrying buckets. The way to make money in any business is to use automated systems. And in this case, our barefoot executive graduated from a peasant to the wealthiest man around…while his old peasant friend continued to carry buckets from the river.
