Advantages of Working at Home
There are, of course, disadvantages of working at home, but there are more advantages by far. Sometimes people get stuck seeing only the disadvantages and forget to look at the positive side of working from home — and there ARE lots of advantages. Let me count a few:
Take a look at: What I do on the Internet please.
Advantage #1: You don’t have to work according to another’s schedule. When you work for a company out in the brick-and-mortar world, no matter what job you hold, you are expected — even REQUIRED — to be on the job at a specific time and on specific days of the week. The company that you work for basically owns your time during work hours. If a family emergency comes up, you are on the phone trying to find somebody else to handle the emergency because your time is owned by the company that you work for and it is not your time to use on a little thing like a family emergency. Been there, done that! NO thanks!
Check it out: @ my place please.
Advantage #2: There is no commute. This is one that I really love and especially now that gasoline is over four bucks a gallon. My commute consists of getting out of bed, finding my way to the coffee pot, pouring my first cup, and taking about 20 steps to the door of my home
office — in my jammies. Total cost, NADA! Total aggravation, ZILCH! Total traffic, ZERO!
Advantage #3: There are no office politics to contend with. I remember those dog-eat-dog office politics. You don’t dare turn your back or somebody will gladly stick a knife in it. You are constantly defending your territory. There is the constant need to make yourself look better than the guy or gal working in the next cubicle or the one just around the corner.
Don’t miss seeing: What I do on the Internet please.
This is just three of so many advantages of working at home. I could easily name a dozen more, but you get the picture.
