People don’t want to be sold but they love to buy and that is so true for everyone. But how do you know if what you are buying is a real deal that will guarantee to make your financial situation comfortable or it will make you broke?
This was a question I had asked myself and I took the chance to invest on it for a month just to find out if this is something that I wanted to affiliate with.
My journey started when I decided to joined an eCommerce platform that uses sites like eBay and Amazon to earn a piece of the $1.5 TRILLION dollar industry controlled by just a few entities and it is powered by a world class rewards plan for affiliates.
They have three level of members and not really knowing yet what is it all about I started from the lowest plan in the amount of $49.95.
The affiliate person that I was belong to started cluttering my wall with so much post that mostly about the website is just a day or so away to be live but every time the day come it never happened.
Majority of the members on Facebook group are about just riding the hype and with all their excitements only to wait almost forever.
Then there were people who just whining and had no clue to some of them they wanted to be a guru but they had no juice. When I asked the person that signed us up about this program, I was speechless when I found out he doesn’t know about the program.
As days went on, the eCommerce sites went live so I started checking my own dashboard and to find out it was not even working as they claimed.
After a week I finally said to myself, I need to do something about this rather than waiting. So, I got me an answer and within an hour my dashboard was up and running.
I was excited so I started clicking all the links how this program works. Within an hour I discovered a flaw of how they offered items to sell to their customers.
On my level which was “Prime” I was only allowed to sell 15 items with no value at all. Yes, because on the Prime level, the items I am able to only sell are mostly under $50 and after all the fees the profit was a joke. It was also disappointed to know the quantity of each fifteen items were limited and they were all gone.
If anyone will run out of their 15 credits we have to buy more credits in order to buy items to sell to the public.
To find out the availability of each items we were instructed to watch a video.
It got me thinking how does those power seller made so much profit when the items had no real value.
Aha! I finally figured it out. Every level has different items to sell so when a person upgrade their membership plan they sell a higher quality of items. That is unfair to someone like me but I do understand this is all about business.
When I discovered this was just a bunch of air type of work I cancelled my plan. Now, there was bump that I had to deal with. On their website they don’t have a phone number or a contact link. I had to goggle them and luckily I found out an email address.
What the heck was that all about.
The lesson that I learned from all of this was, I first recognized an opportunity which sometimes shows up as a disguised in the form of adversity.
Second, I act on it. I know opportunity is elusive. It does exist all over the place but not everyone can see it.
Sad to say, some people fear it because it involves change, to some they don’t believe they are capable of achievements.
Nowadays, I am very careful with all these affiliate program that is lurking out there. I must do my research to be safe because more affiliate just don’t give a shit about what they are selling.
They are just there to get money from you.
