I came across this book by David Sedaris which is the author of “Naked”.
While I was browsing through the pages I can’t helped but giggle with the title of his many stories.
So, I bought the book because it gave me an idea about my next blog.
One thing that spark a title of my blog is about “Giant Dreams, Midget Abilities”.
This topic reminded me of the bible story of David and Goliath. But, on the marketing online world this represent people with inflatable ego.
There are so many marketers out there that has a huge dreams with with their uncanny lifestyle. They live and walk like a king but in reality they have nothing going on.
They preach like it is always sunny in Philadelphia and live in the windy City of Chicago.
They get trapped in a parallel universe hoping to impress everyone. They are a hypochondriac hostage negotiator toothing their dull trumpet hoping to land a sell.
They sit around in front of their computer like a night watchman lurking and requesting to be friend with someone and then… wait a minute…. oh yeah! they start talking about their giant dreams but no actions.
You see, that is not how I see things and let me explain why.
In order for someone to grow a dream you must plant your seeds first. After that, you have to nurture it with water, sun and fertile soil. That is how I see how a dream grown into something huge. When the times comes and your plant grow into a dream you must be able to grow as well and leave your midget abilities or else it will fail.
