For me it is often hard to know the difference between goals and objectives. This is why after I watched the video on the back office of Freedom-Preneur I had to ponder if I been using each word the right way and my answer is… Huh! I do confused myself.
In order to be clear I researched each terms which I found out they are ‘Interchangeably” and if I use it constructively it will help me to get from where I am to where I want to go.
One thing I know for sure thought both are way of moving forward as they both involve forward motion although I can accomplish it in very different ways.
To visualize what is “Goal”, I can think of it is as the “Universe” where I can hope all my efforts will bring me my goals.
While “Objectives” are about these little plan of action which is a short term.
To me, goals tend to be long and in one direction and short in tactics.
For example, I can set a goal to climb the Jacobs ladder without having a specific plan on how to do it the right way. By defining a goal of what I want to accomplish at a specific time, tactics will be developed as I move forward.
With the right visualization goal can be achieve by:
- Define the destination
- Changes the direction to move toward the destination
- Changes the mindset to adjust to and support the new direction
- Creates the necessity to develop specific tactics
As Rebel and I know our objectives goals tend to change our mindset as our focus change too. When our focus set into something we have things to think about. I believe once goal is set, affirmation follow which we can project the desired (but as yet unattained) destination.
Now, I am going to talk a bit about Objectives which just really a tactics. This is first what has to happen because it is an action plans to get where we are and where we want to be.
Once it is realize a goal surely is to defines the action and destination, but the path to get their is first taken and accomplished by sequence of action.
This is been a wonderful lesson.
