As unbelievable as it sounds, we are entering the
countdown period for 2020, which means that it’s
Housecleaning Time once again.
(By the way, if you’re one of my list subscribers
or a reader of my blog posts, then you
know that this housecleaning year-in-review
process is an annual event of mine.)
For those of you who are new readers,
Housecleaning Time is a period at the end
of each business year where I gather lessons
learned over the past year, sift through the junk
and find the gold nuggets that will make the next year
even more profitable.
So, I invite you to once again pay close attention to
this post, as I’m going to share with you
a couple of the gold nugget lessons I’ve collected
in 2019 from customers, mentors, and others. I’ll
also share how I’m applying those lessons to my business,
and how you can do the same to improve your results
in the coming year, if you didn’t make your projected
revenue target for this year.
Gold Nugget Lesson One – Your Business Is Worth More
Than Minimum Wage…Stop Treating It Like It Isn’t
I witnessed the business demise of many of my
readers and friends this year because of a failure to pay
attention to this long standing lesson. Look…
while low end products may appeal to the masses,
understand that the key to realizing financial stability
in your online enterprise depends on your ability to
recognize, understand, and balance the relationship
between revenue, profit, and cash flow.
It’s time to move beyond the free line and low end
price points. If you REALLY want a prosperous
online business, then focus your attention
on revenue generating activities that produce
enough cash flow and profit to cover your
cost of doing business and more.
I can’t begin to tell you the number of new and
even experienced marketers who put their heart
and soul into promoting products or services that
don’t pay enough in commissions to cover expenses
let alone turn a profit.
This ONE THING is just good Business folks. So,
if you haven’t met your online income target this year,
take a look at what you’re promoting. Determine if
it’s even possible to promote what you’re promoting
profitably. You might be surprised to find what the
numbers tell you.
