How many times have you heard that it is ALL in your List?… I know I have heard it hundreds of times. The reason it is repeated so often is because it is TRUE. Many businesses.. those that are either online off line or BOTH are always looking for ways to build a customer base and keep in touch with them. Email marketing is one way to be able to to that.
Keeping in contact with your customers is the best way to build your business. Wouldn’t it be great if you were able to get contact information from each person that stopped by your place of business or visited your website. You would be able to let them know about up coming specials that your offering. You could send them information about all sorts of things… Newsletters are perfect or maybe A Customer Appreciation Coupon. If they are on your LIST your able to keep connected to them.
Creating a newsletter is a nice way to keep connected to your customers. When they are at your business encourage them to signup to receive your newsletter. It can be something that you plan on sending out monthly, weekly, quarterly… that is up to you. If you have a website you can have a place where they are able to input their email address so that they are able to get your information too.
Never abuse the privilege of them giving you their email address. Please don’t send them useless, stupid stuff…or send them something to often. Those will be the quickest ways for them to lose interest and unsubscribe from your LIST.
Just think of the LISTS that you are on. Make note of the ones that you look forward to getting and reading. I am sure that you have gotten on a list that you unsubscribed from…. why did you take that action? Were the emails coming to often? Were you being sent useless, stupid stuff….. Once you are aware of your what you like and what your don’t like to see from the LISTS that you are on you will have a better idea of how to handle your own LIST!
People like to feel special. You can easily make them feel special while building your list by offering them “Exclusive offers only for my Email Subscribers” or a “Pre-Sale Notice only for my Email Subscribers” Use your imagination…… It is your LIST… they have given up their contact information so offer them “Good Stuff” in return.
Email marketing is a great way to keep in contact with your customer base. Using the tips posted in this article you can build your all important LIST and expand your customer base and grow your business all by sending out emails.
