I have recently completed a task given to me by Joanna Rogers from the Better Women’s Network, all about the Importance of Goal Setting. Setting goals for yourself helps to bridge the gap between Where You Are and Where You Want To Be.
Today’s blog post will be the first of three in this series:
Step 1. Write yourself a Wish List
Take 5 minutes to sit down and write out everything you want to achieve. I mean, absolutely everything, it can be as small as doing an exercise class once a week, getting chores done around the home to as big as buying a yacht to sail the world and a holiday villa to come home to. Put on this list whatever you like, there are no restrictions and no limitations, what so ever.
Step 2. Break down your Wish List into Short, Medium & Long Term Goals.
Short term – 1 Year
Medium tern – 1-3 Years
Long term – 3+ years
Give each goal a heading and a couple of A4 pages and put them all in a file ready for the next lesson.
With courtesy of www.betterwomensnetwork.com, I hope to be able to teach you how important this is to your future success and how to start actually achieving these goals instead of just dreaming about them.
We will develop this exercise, in the next lesson and take look at the reasons why goals are important to your future success.
