New year new start

A new year is like wiping the slate clean and feeling fresh and energised about the year ahead.  I decided to start the way I mean to go on, I would invest in me too by getting rid of the excess weight I had slowly accumulated over the past 2.5 years since getting pregnant.  I wanted to feel full of energy again as I approach 40 this year (wow that sounds so scary!).  It isn’t like I have lots of weight to lose but I was feeling sluggish and got on that sugar craving cycle (many of us would have had that?).  You are fed up with how you look so you think I will eat chocolate to make myself feel better – hmmm that really makes sense doesn’t it!!!!

I started this new journey 4 days ago and already I feel amazing, I have lost so far nearly 2kg and I am eating more fruit and fibre and the sugar cravings are passing.  I must admit I was hungry for the first couple of days doing the Lite N easy but the food is really good and I love the convenience of not having to measure things etc.

They say 40 is the new 30 and I must admit I still feel like I am in my 20’s and then I look and the mirror and see some of the lines and think wow what happened!  My life hasn’t been an easy one and I have many challenges to overcome such as domestic violence and the after effects on my children etc, but this has made me a stronger person and led me to where I am today and on this amazing path of helping others.  We can sit back and think what if or in 2013 we can decide this is my year and I will live the life I want to.

What are your new years plans, what have you decided to change now the slate is wiped clean?

What did turning 40 mean to you?

2013 is going to be an amazing year and I am really excited from a personal and business perspective about what is to come.

I am a mum of 4 young children and got fed up of always working for other people. I was introduced to an amazing company last year and helped my children to relieve their symptoms of eczema. we have not had any breakout for 11 months now, so I refer the brand to others to help people get better safer products. I work with an International Billion Dollar company that manufacturers health and wellness products. I started part-time in September 2011 and decided to focus entirely on this opportunity in March this year. I also work with The Life 2 Project, which is an organisation that supports women healing from domestic violence. Having had personal experience with domestic violence, it is very important to me that I can help others who are going through or have been through what I did. We have created a structure in my business to help support their important work where they are given a cheque every month just from people shopping for things they would have bought in other stores. I have now also become part of the Freedom and Empowerment Campaign in the UK which is about breaking the cycle of domestic violence and helping to raise funds for their amazing campaign again through people just shopping!! Over the years, I've worked for a number of large companies as travel consultant and in Human Resources, but at the heart of it, I'm a working mum just like so many others. My work now is largely providing information to people on how they can use products that don't contain the harmful toxins found in most mass marketed household brands. By simply switching stores, they can access products that are better for them and their families and better value I also manage and mentor a team in Australia and abroad and help them achieve the same success that I have. I also help families who are looking for a plan B have the opportunity for financial freedom or families can just shop and save money.
