Eagles, Diamonds and Ducks Part 2

eagle  Hello and welcome to Part 2 of my First Ever Blog! If you missed Part One – click HERE to go and have a catch up before continuing – and I’d love for you to leave a comment 🙂

So, I left off with the story telling about how the young woman had decided she wanted to be an eagle – a Leader just like the people she’d seen up on stage telling their success stories. The young woman followed the ‘success plans’ as instructed and was dreaming of trips overseas and speaking in front of hundreds, if not thousands of people some day, to tell them about her success story and how they could be just like her too.

But alas, the young woman became disheartened when the people she shared her dream with – her family and closest friends – did not show the same enthusiasm and passion as she. Did not see the BIG PICTURE and most definately did not support her other than buying a product or two when it suited them. Dissillusioned, the young woman continued to work hard for her employer, hoping perhaps to rise through the ranks in the corporate world to fulfill her dreams instead. About a year or more later, another friend approached the young woman with another business venture, this one would surely be a good fit as it was targetted at an increasing market of people who were getting fanatical about health issues and saving the planet…..same old story with the family and friends – who by now were starting to avoid the young woman as she was ‘always’ involved with one scheme or another.

Another break, another attempt at working hard for an employer hoping to be recognised in some way. The young woman advanced a little, managed a small team of terrific people but still wasn’t really getting anywhere, with personal growth as well as financial. She began reading again. Reading the kinds of books that put a light in your heart, a spark in your eye. Personal Development books that were multi million dollar Best Sellers – so there had to be others out there like her. Right?

The young woman was introduced to a ‘Diamond’ representative of a company. Now having a little more self esteem and confidence, speaking to this ‘Diamond’ was just the dynamite needed to fire this girl up again. With the new age of technology making it easier to contact people anywhere in the world, the young woman was internet savvy and confident that she could utilise this form of communication to build her new business! With autoship and emails, she wouldn’t have to face rejection again like she did before…..so off she went, to listen to those Eagles and Diamonds tell their marvelous stories of success and she would go to bed at night, dreaming of those amazing holidays at ski resorts and on massive cruise ships. The young woman ended up deep in debt with this last venture. Wanting to be seen as actively growing her business in the eyes of those above her, autoship payments became crippling as she did not have a customer base at all to retail and get into profit. Once again, the young woman let go of this dream and relinquished herself back into ‘reality’ where she’d go to work, get paid, pay the bills and do it all over again, while her ‘friends’ stood by and said ‘I told you so. You only get anywhere in life by having a good job and working hard’. The young woman believed them – for a little while anyway.

Tune in tomorrow for the final installment of this 3 part story. Please leave your comments below – I read each and every one!
