Since this is my first blog entry on this new blog I feel I need to introduce myself. My name is Wolf Zappe. Wolf is short for Wolfgang. I was born in Germany post WWII and came to the United States as a legal immigrant in 1952. We moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where my father had a job waiting for him. He was a tool and die maker by trade, and eventually he was one of only 7 in the world that did what did. At the time he worked for Milwaukee Lace Paper Company where he designed the dies that cut the designs into the lace paper doilies that they manufactured. After growing up in Milwaukee and getting married to my high school sweetheart we moved West (Utah first) and settled in Sparks, Nevada.
Although I graduated from BYU (English Major) I decided upon graduation to work in a career of sales. Looking back it has been a varied career, beginning with Life Insurance and ending as as a wholesale food rep for both branded companies and in the private label industry. When I retired from that I became interested in investing in real estate. There were good times and bad times. During the bad times I became interested in online marketing. I knew there was money to be made in affiliate marketing. That’s where my interest is mostly now and I am still learning (on top of the dozens of years that I first had interest in this.)
By the way, 18 months ago I made a two year commitment for my church to serve as a missionary. During that time I have been blessed to continue to receive a nice recurring income from my previous efforts in affiliate marketing. For another six months as of this writing I won’t have too much time to put in to marketing because my commitment is still in effect. I’m serving as the vehicle coordinator for a fleet of 76 vehicles driven by 18-22 year old missionaries all across Northern Nevada and parts of California. We used to have 96 vehicles but I was told to sell 20 of them, which I did in 3 months time. So I guess you could add car salesman to my list of sales jobs. Anyway, you see that I am able to take time to do things that I want to do. That is why I always believed that if you can work for yourself you can achieve time freedom.
I think I will shorten this entry up now. Let me just say that I am emphatic about the fact that people can change, that people can learn new things every day, if they have the mindset to be open to change. It seems that many just settle for less by saying “but that’s the way I am,” or “I don’t know how to do that,” instead of saying to themselves that they could learn to do anything, or they could make changes, big changes as needed. Anyway, more on that later.
