I read The Art Of The Deal a good while back.
I remember distinctly one thing from that book.
Trump said if he was looking at a deal and figuring out what to do he would ask himself, “What’s the worst thing that could happen?”
He said if he could handle the worst case scenario, he’d go ahead.
No matter what you do, you’ll always make it through.
Unless you die.
Nobody makes it through that.
But seriously, when it comes to taking a risk for your business (like getting started) you can handle it.
How do I know?
Because failing in business won’t kill you.
I know, because it hasn’t killed me.
It has killed my business before, but never me.
Most failures won’t even kill your business.
Usually you’ll just be out some time and or money.
You can’t get your time back, but you can always make more money.
What makes me so sure?
Because you always have.
Every time you needed more money, you came up with it.
As time goes by, you’ve made better decisions and moved ahead.
That’s life.
So don’t give up on your dreams of business success.
There’ll be ups and downs.
So what?
You get them all the time anyway.
So just go for it.
And then keep going for it til you get what you’re after.
You can do it.
It may not be easy, but one thing’s for sure…
It’s probably a whole lot easier than working for someone else.
