Sometimes the most significant artistic hurdle to overcome is simple getting started.
Mind mapping is an excellent tool for organizing and nurturing the flood of ideas that can often overwhelm creative minds.
This tool allows you to identify ideas, elaborate on your vision and create intriguing associations between ideas. Because it’s visual and nonlinear, it works well for artists and help us tap into the artistic side of the brains.
Although there are several good software tools for mind mapping, I encourage you to mind map with pencil and paper– at least when you initially begin to experiment with it.
Engaging physically in the process enhances the idea-generation process.
If you are interested in learning how to mind map, there are many great books and web resources on the topic.
One great resource is the book Mindmapping by Joyce Wycoff, or you can visit her website at www.thinksmart.com

When you’ve got your mind all mapped out, share your plans and objectives with the world using these online marketing tools.
