Why the 97% Fail Rate in Network Marketing is Bull**** !

If you’ve been around this industry for any length of time, I’m pretty sure you’ve heard the somber news:

97% of Network Marketers never make any money. They even LOSE money!

The average of the failure rate may vary a point or two, but 97% is a good reference point.

And it is BULLSHIT!

Why-Network-Marketers-Fail

In fact, I will go so far as to say it’s closer the other way around; 97% succeed and MAKE money in Network Marketing.

I thought long and hard about this before I wrote it because I needed it to make sense for everyone here.

I can write a lengthy dissertation and explain my theories on what I believe, but I am going to get straight to the point and make it simple.

So here goes.

The 97% of the folks who fail in Network Marketing (or arguably most anything in life), do not do what it takes to succeed.

I could stop right there but I will continue.

My sincere belief is anyone who actually works this business and does what is supposed to be done, WILL make money and succeed.

Those who don’t do what they are supposed to do will NOT succeed and will fail miserably,

Period.

The ones who fail show the same characteristics:

  1. They don’t actually market their business
  2. They don’t talk to anyone or very few about their business.
  3. They don’t go on autoship
  4. They don’t continue their education on their business
  5. Most will do NOTHING. They will sign up, get their distributor kit and feel like they are in business. But then do absolutely NOTHING. They then say Network Marketing doesn’t work or that particular company sucks and doesn’t work.
  6. Most importantly and most controversial, is, let’s face it, most people have no idea how to run a business and have no business ever being in business for themselves.

It is a cold hard truth. It hurts to hear, but not everyone can do this business. Or any business for that matter.

Network Marketing is NOT for everyone. Everyone cannot succeed at this or any other business!

That said, here is my thought:

If you take away the ones who have no intention of trying to work the business. If you take away the ones who have no business being in business. And if you just hold on to the ones who actually work the business, what you have is a much higher success rate.

The 97% failure rate is skewed because of the “do-nothings” I previously mentioned.

I sincerely believe if people do what they are supposed to do in Network Marketing, they can and will succeed.

Now not everyone is the same. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses to work with, so everyone’s success will be different.

Everyone will succeed at different levels.

On more thing I want to add thought and it’s important.

It is always the bad news which gets the headlines not the good. That 97% is based on the naysayers complaining about only 3% succeeding.

But here is another truth: Many who get involved with Network Marketing do not set out to make millions.

Most are happy making enough to make their car payment or house payment or even just $500 a month.

To them, that is success! They don’t make millions, but then again, it’s not what they were after.

They were after a better quality of life that a few hundred or a thousand bucks a month could provide them.

Add that in to the mix of statistics and you have even more successful people.

So in closing, do not believe the negative hype of 97% fail in Network Marketing because it is BULL Crap!
