You ever have too much of a good thing?
I did; last night, that thing was bourbon….
….I have heard people say you can’t have too much of a good thing.
I would have to disagree….
The same can be said about business….
Just being busy to be busy is too much of a good thing
Being in business for yourself is great, but you have to ensure you are being either effective, or efficient right?
What’s the difference?
Effective means you are getting the IMPORTANT thing done,
Efficient means you are getting the whole to do list done in a
timely way.
Think of your business the same way, if you are spinning your wheels, take a break, do something physical. Take a stomp in the yard, fix something, or build something! This is an effective way to distract your current task.
Engaging a different part of your brain allows things on the other side to digest properly. Which will make you more effective! This increase in efficiency will actually see you getting more done on any given day! Your business, and your future self will thank you for those breaks. The return on investment in yourself is always the best!
