Here’s To Success!

Our concept of “success” presents different images, values, and emotions to each and every one of us. What does success look like to you? Does success represent financial abundance, time freedom to live your life as you please, loving family relationships, a large mortgage-free house, multiple exotic holidays, fast cars and speedboats, or do your dreams of success include vibrant physical health, peace and calm of mind, and serenity?

Maybe your success will be a combination of the above. For most of us, I imagine that we measure our success from different viewpoints.

Will our dream of success motivate us to achieve it?

Not necessarily so! It’s all too easy to dream big, though do nothing to help bring our dreams closer to fruition. Say, for instance, we dream of financial abundance (although money can’t buy love, and isn’t the resolution to all problems, it certainly can open up choices for us and give us a sense of feeling in control of our lives), so we might search for ways to generate that abundance. Lottery maybe, though what are the chances – really?! And why waste time chasing the very, very, very (ad infinitum) slight chances of winning, when we could be focussing on “building the dream” ourselves, which equates to a greater degree of certainty.

Oftentimes it can be when we’re in a bit of a pickle and are stuck, not knowing where to turn next that proves our motivating force to get off our backsides to do something about it. It can be our worst fears that will eventually be the driver to our success!

Are your fears stronger than your dreams?

So, your dream is for your financial abundance and time freedom to do the things that you love with the people that you love, and be in good physical and emotional shape, so that you can enjoy all these things and more. However, your fears are that you’re stuck in a dead-end job working long hours, with a boss who drives you crazy, that your pay is minimal and you can never seem to get ahead. Your pension pot is small, and if you’re nearing retirement your fear is that even when you have more time because of not working, that you won’t have enough money to get by, and you fear that your earning potential is nil!

What are you going to do about it? Is there anything you can do about it?

You could carry on working I guess, if your boss will allow it. Or you can apply for other jobs to replace your lost income. Though isn’t there a better way…? How about channelling your skills and energy into building a business of your own?

Don’t know how or where to start? My post What Tools Will I Need To Create An Online Business will give you a bit more insight.

All the best!

Hi, Lesley here. Having "retired" from the day job, I've launched into online marketing. I've shelved the shiny new objects (products) that promise the earth and deliver nothing, and am now focussing on the tools and platforms that deliver! My aim is to help guide you to build your own successful online businesses and avoid pitfalls along the way. I'll only recommend the products and services that I use myself.
