You’da thought he kicked their dog or sumthin.
This guy (who’s stuff is very much worth payin for) decided to charge for his previously free podcast.
Holy crap the uproar this caused.
I couldn’t wait for the privilege to pay for this podcast.
Why?
Because it’s damn good, that’s why.
And as a guy that aspires to earn a bazillion bucks by providing cool tools and info online, I’m for charging for things. How the heck are you supposed to earn a living if everyone expects to get stuff free?
By the way…
If you have any heartburn whatsoever about somebody getting paid for providing a product or service online. You should definitely stay out of it. By that I mean there’s no way you can ever make money online if you think everything online should be free.
I realize you hear the wannabe gurus and coaches telling you all day long that you should give away all your best stuff free.
That is… how should I put this… idiotic.
Nowhere else on the planet aside from the “Make Money Online” industry will you hear such drivel.
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before.
You get what you pay for.
If that’s true, then free stuff is worth… wait for it… nothing.
The worst thing about free stuff is that people tend to not respect it.
No skin in the game and all that.
It’s the mindset that bothers me.
As if someone owes these people something. Anyway, if you get paid for the work you do, then doesn’t it stand to reason that you should pay others for the work they do for you?
I thought you’d agree.
Of course I’m not saying that you should charge for every little thing.
I’m simply stating the obvious truth that one should pay others for their work.
That’s what makes the world go ’round.
Put out all the content you want, then get those future customers over to a sales page.
When they buy, you can serve them at a higher level with the really good stuff.
However you structure your business, you’ll find everything you need to lay a solid foundation right here.
Now get out there and build something you’ll be proud of.
Something that your followers will be glad to pay you for.
