Using LinkedIn you have the ability to connect with a wide audience that will hold potential prospects who are qualified to take part in your business. This article discusses some of the ways that you can use LinkedIn to promote your business.
Ensure the LinkedIn road leads back to your blog or website. When you engage your leads, you want them to know how to find you outside of LinkedIn. Make sure that you also have relevant links in your profile so that potential customers or clients can easily access your information. By doing this, people will get to know you and eventually build trust.
Interact in LinkedIn groups.
Once you become part of a group, you should become active in the discussions. Contributing to relevant conversations is a good way for you to establish yourself and plant the seeds of relationships. After you’ve been active, people will become more aware of your expertise and will become interested in your business. Please avoid pitching your business directly in a group setting. You will be viewed as a spammer and will be ignored.
Create your own group. By creating your own group on LinkedIn, you establish yourself as a thought leader and someone in a position of authority. Because members of LinkedIn have chosen to be a part of your group, you have a more captive audience. You can link the RSS feed from your blog to your group. Make sure to have your URL in the welcome message to your group. You want your group name to contain a keyword so that your group is easily found.
Send Weekly Messages. Every week, send a valuable, relevant message to your group, whether you own the group or are a participant. Include the link for your blog. Create events. LinkedIn Events are a great way to increase your activity with members of your LinkedIn Community. Any event can be posted. The event can be online or offline. Create the event with details of how to register. You can invite anyone in your network. Share these events with different groups in which you are active.
Answer Questions. The LinkedIn “Answers” function is not widely known or used. LinkedIn users submit questions. You find the questions relevant to your expertise and answer them. Connect directly with the person who asked the question and build the relationship. Your answer can contain links, which will drive traffic to specific blog posts or articles that will help educate the one who asked the question.
LinkedIn offers great opportunity to generate leads and build business. With these tips, you will stand out from the rest of the users, because you will be effective in your marketing strategies and that will attract people to you!
