Last night the wife and I attended Poet’s night at one of our local coffee houses.
My Wife’s guitar teacher was also invited to have a gig there for the closing act. He is a terrific songwriter.
There are mostly younger college age people there who far outnumber the older ones like my wife, her teacher and myself.
At the end of the performance it felt so good to see so many college age people come up to him and tell him how much they loved his music. He is well known in Milwaukee for his folk songs and charity performances for the food pantries.
Once again it just shows that Music is a common bond and brings people closer together. Our friend Brett, who did the performance invited all these people to his house where he holds a monthly jam for his musician friends and (those who just want to listen like me.)
Who says that the young and old cannot communicate?
